chemo today
Today we left around 10 to go to children's for chemo. When we arrived at the oncology clinic they accessed my port and drew blood. An hour later the nurse called us back to the check in station where everyone gets height weight and blood pressure done. The nurse looked at me weird probably because i had on 2 sweatshirts jeans a scarf and hat and 3 other shirts under the sweatshirts that she didn't know about. Surprisingly she didn't ask me to take any of it off before getting on the scale and thanks to her we avoided the feeding tube issue. I still did get a lecture and we got a half an hour talk with the nutritionist about how i have to eat 2,000 calories a day at this point to gain weight, and that i have to eat every 2 hours. We shall see how that works out. My blood counts all went up and hopefully stay! The chemo took all of 2 minutes she came in and was done a minute later my Dad and i where shocked at how fast it was but glad to be on our way. Once we got home my Dad made me the most delicious guacamole and i ate a lot of it, now that my mouth sores are almost gone eating isn't much of an issue as making sure it stays down! I am feeling good, and hoping that future appointments go this well, and am eating basically all the time!
