Just a spot

A month or so ago i had my scans at SCCA.  During my appointment my oncologist mentioned that i had a small "spot" on my lung that would need to be monitored. I did not think much of it as i really only find reason for concern when a dr. mentions the word biopsy.  After examining the scan more carefully and measuring the spot he decided it was best to move my scans to every month to keep a eye on it.  It is large enough to be concerned but not large enough to do a biopsy.  Next week i will go in for scans and on Friday i will get the results.  I am very nervous, but realize that it could very well be nothing and am hoping for nothing.  I am beginning to miss the days when bad day was getting a B instead of an A, having my credit card declined or waking up late and spilling coffee all over myself. I think the past few months i have forgotten how lucky i am and this has really woken me up to how fast we could be back in the same situation we where in just a few years ago.  I have tired hard to keep my mind occupied and busy with work, working everyday from 8-7 and Saturdays, and running. I figure if something is wrong with my lungs i would have trouble breathing and if i can run then i must be fine...right?  But my health is always in the back of my mind.  I don't think that will ever go away.  If a little spot is all i have to worry about then i guess i am a pretty lucky girl! Hope for the best, and just breathe.  I will keep you updated!

All my love
