So tomorrow Tim is taking me to Children's to get my casts put on both legs. I will have to go in on Thursday and twice every week once on Tues and on Thurs to be re casted. Hopefully this will only take 3 weeks at the most. I am sure it won't be comfortable but i don't really want to walk on my toes anymore either. I will post pictures soon! All my love!

Life...
Sorry i haven't wrote anything on this blog for a while, oh i miss it! Life after cancer so far is exactly the same with only less needle pokes, labs and scans. My port is removed and it is so weird not to have it, the surgery was fine but the site still bothers me. The plan is to do a ct scan and MRI every 3 months for the next year, and then every 6 months for a year or something. I am doing PT twice a week, unfortunately they believe that if my feet are to get flexing back i will have to do casting for the next couple weeks. They think it has just been too long since i have used those muscles,so they will put casts on both my legs, every week they will remove them move my foot up a degree or so and put a new cast on. If within the first week or two they will stop if results don't show but so far that's the next move. I can't believe its the end of May, i am getting excited for the wedding but also nervous because i am not feeling much better. I can't wait to eat, i just want to eat a meal its proving much harder than i thought it would be,i can't wait to get the feeding tube out but i suppose i should be able to get before we do that. i am still nauseous and don't have a great amount of energy. All in time i guess, just grateful to have no more chemo but hard to move on without feeling much better. I will post pictures soon! All my love

Surgery Day
Today i will have surgery to have my port removed!! I am very excited to not have a box in my chest! It seems like just yesterday that i went with my Dad and Tim to have it put in. Although while it was happening the past 9 months seemed to go so slow! I have been spending a lot of time outside and walking and doing PT! I am excited to be moving on and today is just another step in the right direction! All my love

Wed, April 28th Cancer free, and NO MORE CHEMO!
No more light at the end of the tunnel! I am out of the tunnel as of today - NO MORE CHEMO. I met with Dr. Hawkins today and we went over the scans. There is no visual evidence of cancer. Combine that with the extreme effects the chemo has had on me along with the resultant medical difficultties, we made the decision that the marginal benefits of more chemo did not justify another 12 weeks of chemotherapthy. Dr. Hawkins saw that I was having trouble making the decision so he helped make it with his input. It is almost unbelievable! I am extremely happy. I still have lots of PT and follow up appointments, but the relief I feel is tremendous. My Dad was with me and we just hugged and cried together, which is ironic because we did the same thing on the first day of chemo back in August!! Thanks for all your prayers, but don't stop them yet! All my love

Nerves
I am so nervous for my ct and MRI today. I can't explain it, but every scan is so scary, because of that one you did have that was bad...very bad. I hope everything looks good and cancer free, i still have nightmares that more tumors have multiplied or i just have one very big tumor again, and every scan makes me so nervous. I think it will be that way for the rest of my life. It's like going to get a facial one a month but mine will be scans and MRI's and blood work and check ups. I feel so lucky to have an amazing medical team and hopefully with time my mind and nerves can be at ease. I will let you know tomorrow! All my love,
Mary

Glad to be HoMe!
So happy to be home! I have so much to do, so much to clean..it keeps me busy. Tomorrow i go in for a ct scan and an MRI. Wed i will meet with my Dr. again to talk about how the scans look and if stopping treatment is still a reasonable option. While home Tim and I took a bunch of random photos, enjoy. I will blog tomorrow and Wed only time will tell what decision i make, but regardless the decision has to be made by Wednesday. All my love
